The holidays are right around the corner and there is no better way to end a long day with family then at the movies! The end of the year is shaping up to be a movie fans dream. From the blockbusters to a chick flick, there is a little bit of everything this holiday season. The following are just some of the movies coming out between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.
Creed 2 – November 21
Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan are back to continue the story of Adonis Creed. In 1985, Creed’s father Apollo was killed by Russian boxer Ivan Drago in a match that stunned the world. Apollo accepts a challenge to a match with Drago’s son against the wishes of Rocky Balboa. Adonis trains for the showdown with Balboa once again in his corner but as the two prepare for the match, they must both confront their legacy as the past comes back to haunt each of them.
Robin Hood – November 21
Produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount a revolt against the corrupt English crown. This gritty action-adventure is packed with battlefield exploits, well thought out fight choreography, and of course a timeless romance.
Mary, Queen of Scots – December 7
Appointed Queen of France at age 16 and widowed by the age of 18, Mary Stuart (Saoirse Ronan) returns to her native Scotland to reclaim her rightful throne. But while Mary was gone, Scotland and England have fallen under the rule of the ever-compelling Elizabeth the first (Margot Robbie). Rivals in power and love, these two must decide how to play the game of marriage versus independence.
Aquaman – December 21
Jason Momoa is back as Aquaman in this spin-off from DC’s hit Justice League and picks up right where Justice League ends. Aquaman reveals the origin story of the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on a journey across the globe in search of a lost artifact. His journey will not only force him to face who he is but reveals if he is worthy of being a king.
Bumblebee – December 21
Starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena, Bumblebee takes place in 1987 when Bumblebee finds shelter in a junkyard in a California beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld) discovers Bumblebee who has been battle-scarred and broken. Charlie brings him back to life and quickly finds out that he is no ordinary yellow VW bug.
